For contractors looking for local work
Rent a contractor website. Check the proof first.
A website rental lets your business receive the new requests from a local trade site. You rent access to those requests; you do not automatically own the domain or the website.
Ask about your trade and town
A live site is a starting point.
Before you rent, ask for dated search and inquiry records for that exact site. A good-looking page, a screenshot or the words “rank and rent” do not prove it gets jobs.
Try the fictional buyer demoHow a rental works
Tell TradeLeo the trade and town you serve. We check whether we have a site that fits, confirm whether it is ready and available, then agree the terms before setup. Once you rent, that site's new quote requests go only to your business.
A rented site's requests are not also sold as individual leads. If you prefer to choose leads one at a time, read how exclusive pay-per-lead works. The two models are separate.
This is a guide for a contractor considering a rental, not a course on building sites to rent to others.
Ask for proof from the exact site
- Search: Ask for the dates, queries and landing pages in Google Search Console. Impressions are appearances in search, not visits or jobs.
- Visits: Ask which records show visits and whether paid ads or test visits are included. A ranking screenshot from another town does not answer this.
- Requests: Ask how genuine inquiries are separated from tests, spam and duplicates. Private homeowner details should stay private.
- Fit: Ask which project types and areas those requests covered. A busy page for the wrong work is not useful to your crew.
- Readiness: Confirm that the site can be rented now. A site may be public while its rental is still unavailable.
Keep the date beside every report. Search position changes, and old requests do not promise future work. TradeLeo does not guarantee leads, calls, jobs or Google rankings.
Settle the scope and terms
Ask what the rent covers, who maintains the pages, who controls the domain and what happens to request access when the rental ends. Renting does not automatically transfer ownership, your own business site or your own Google Business Profile.
Ads are optional. If you choose to run them, you pay for them. Settle the account, budget and what the rental quote includes before starting. Organic search and paid advertising are different sources of work.
Confirm the routing of quote requests and how you will follow them in your dashboard. Ask about phone arrangements separately; do not assume this guide includes call forwarding.
Read the current rental terms and ask for a quote for your trade and town. Review the agreed terms before authorizing any payment or setup.
Look at the real homeowner sites
painterstemecula.com is the painting connection site for Temecula, California. phxconcretecontractors.com is the concrete connection site for the Phoenix metro, Arizona.
These are TradeLeo's homeowner sites, not a renter's portfolio or proof of completed projects. Viewing either one does not establish current traffic, results, available leads or rental availability.
For the local buying questions, see painting leads in Temecula and Murrieta or the Phoenix concrete buyer guide. For another trade or town, ask us rather than assume a site exists there.
Plan for the month after setup
Choose who will check requests, contact homeowners and record estimates and won work. Review which work fits your crew before changing your coverage or accepting more requests.
Keep the rent and any ad spend separate from sales revenue. Use actual payments and completed work to decide whether the source pays for itself; a request alone is not revenue.
TradeLeo's homepage explains stopping renewal through My rentals. Review the rental terms for the current rules. Ask how access ends before you agree, not when you need to leave.
Questions before you decide
Is renting the same as buying the website?
No. A rental does not automatically transfer the domain or website to you. Ask who owns and maintains each part, and read the agreed rental terms.
Do I have to run ads?
No. Ads are optional. If you choose to run them, you pay for them. Settle the budget and account arrangements before starting.
Is a site that is online ready to rent?
Not necessarily. Ask TradeLeo to confirm readiness and availability for the specific site, trade and town. Being online is not proof of search traffic or future leads.
Your business. Your area.
Ask what fits your trade and town.
Tell us where you work and the jobs you can take. We check the fit and reply by email. No payment, buyer account or rental is created by an inquiry.
